Dhaka, Aug. 31 -- Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast light to moderate rain across the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9am on Monday.

"Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds are likely at many places over Rangpur, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi, Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country," the BMD said.

Rainfall likely to continue over next 5 days: BMD

Teknaf recorded the country's highest rainfall of 68mm in the 24 hours till 6am on Monday.

Day and night temperature may fall slightly over the country.
