BGB foils another BSF push-in attempt along Jhenaidah border
JHENAIDAH, Aug. 15 -- Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has foiled another attempt by India's Border Security Force (BSF) to push four people into Bangladesh through the Maheshpur border in Jhenaidah.
The incident occurred around 1:30pm Saturday near the Chapaltala Mazar area under Kusumpur Border Outpost (BOP) of the Maheshpur-based 58 BGB Battalion.
According to the BGB, a patrol team from Kusumpur BOP intercepted four people near the zero line as the BSF attempted to push them into Bangladesh from India.
The attempt was reportedly made by the Mahendra Camp of BSF's 194 Battalion.
The four people included two men, a woman and a child. Their identities were not immediately known.
