Moulvibazar, Sept. 21 -- Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members detained a data entry operator of the Jamalganj Upazila Election Office in Sunamganj while allegedly trying to cross into India through the Sreemangal border in Moulvibazar.

A patrol team of Gutibari Border Outpost (BOP), under Habiganj Battalion (55 BGB), conducted a drive in the Monglambasti area around 6:30pm on Sunday, as part of routine operations to prevent illegal border crossings.

During the operation, the team detained Sushanta Chandra Biswas, 34, while he was allegedly attempting to cross the zero line near border pillar No. 1939/M to enter India, according to a press release issued on Monday.
