Dhaka, May 23 -- Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has been deployed at key highways, toll plazas and traffic congestion-prone areas to help control traffic congestion and ensure smooth and safe Eid journeys ahead of Eid-ul-Azha.

BGB members will perform duties from seven days before Eid until three days after Eid to maintain law and order and facilitate uninterrupted travel for holidaymakers, said BGB Headquarters Public Relations Officer Shariful Islam on Saturday.

They have been deployed at the Elevated Expressway, Mayor Hanif Flyover, Kanchan Bridge, Dhaka-Mawa Expressway, Padma Bridge Toll Plaza, Kanchpur Bridge, Mugrapara, Meghna Bridge Toll Plaza, Nabinagar, Baipayl, Gazipur Chowrasta and Bhogra Bypass areas.
