Sangsad Bhaban, April 10 -- Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmad on Friday advised a Member of Parliament to be "more attentive" after the lawmaker mistakenly raised a point regarding a bill that was not currently before the House, causing a brief disruption to the legislative process.

The incident occurred during the morning session of the Jatiya Sangsad when the 'Deposit Protection Bill, 2026' was being moved for immediate consideration.

Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury initially sought leave to introduce the bill. Following the Speaker's approval, the minister formally introduced the bill and moved it for immediate consideration.
