Jhenaidah, Sept. 30 -- The Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested three individuals, including a vice president of the central committee of the banned Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), during a special drive in Jhenaidah district on Wednesday night.

The arrestees were identified as BCL Vice President Tuhin Reza, Imdadul Haq Sohag, a local leader of Awami League, which faces a ban on its activities, and owner of local Yafat Filling Station; and Saddam Hossain, a BCL leader from Naldanga village.

They were arrested around 10:30pm, said Shariful Islam, Jhenaidah DB Officer-in-Charge.

Following primary interrogation at the DB office, the arrestees were handed over to Kaliganj Police Station.
