Dhaka, Aug. 1 -- Stating that trust and confidence form the core foundation of the relationship between customers and banks, Bangladesh Krishi Bank (BKB) Chairman Md. Nurul Amin has said the primary duty of a banker is to ensure the security of customer deposits.

"The banking system fundamentally relies on trust. When a customer deposits their hard-earned money placing trust in a bank, keeping those deposits safe and discharging duties properly becomes a banker's main responsibility," he said on Saturday (August 1).

He made the remarks while speaking as the chief guest at the General Managers' (GM) Conference of Bangladesh Krishi Bank held at ICC Limited adjacent to Mirpur Technical in the capital.
