Dhaka, March 2 -- A young Bangladeshi pastry chef and international trainer has secured a gold medal at the prestigious 'World Cake Artistry Award 2026', held in the Maldives, bringing further international recognition to the country's growing skills sector.
Md Sabbir Hossain Hridoy clinched the top honour in the 'Advanced Floral Piping' category, impressing judges with his creativity, aesthetic finesse and technical precision.
The international competition took place at Kurumba Maldives, drawing around 800 renowned cake artists from 38 countries. After progressing through multiple competitive stages, Hridoy earned the gold medal and trophy, marking a significant achievement for Bangladesh on the global culinary arts stage.
