Dhaka, July 5 -- The Embassy of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria in Dhaka on Sunday celebrated the 64th National Independence Day of Algeria with a solemn and dignified ceremony, highlighting Algeria's historic struggle for freedom, its revolutionary legacy, and the growing friendship between Algeria and Bangladesh.

The event was hosted by Ambassador of Algeria to Bangladesh Dr. Abdelouahab Saidani, renewing calls to strengthen Algeria-Bangladesh friendship, deepen bilateral cooperation, and honour the shared sacrifices of the martyrs of both nations.

Information and Broadcasting Minister Zahir Uddin Swapan attended the programme as the chief guest.
