Bangladesh provides $1 million assistance to disaster-hit Nepal
Dhaka, Sept. 3 -- The Bangladesh government, led by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, has contributed US$1 million (Tk 12.3 crore) to the Nepal Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund to support the ongoing relief, recovery, and humanitarian efforts following the sudden devastating floods and mudslide in Northern Nepal.
State Minister for Foreign Affairs Humaiun Kobir conveyed this to Ambassador of Nepal to Bangladesh Ghanshyam Bhandari while handing over a letter from Prime Minister Tarique Rahman addressed to Prime Minister of Nepal Balendra Shah.
The programme was held at the State Guest House Padma on Thursday.
