Dhaka, May 25 -- In light of the ongoing regional situation in West Asia, the government of Bangladesh on Sunday symbolically handed over a goodwill consignment of food supplies to the government of Kuwait as a gesture of solidarity and friendship from the people of Bangladesh to the brotherly people of Kuwait.

The initiative forms part of a broader support effort under which a total of 240 tons of essential food items from Bangladesh are scheduled to reach Kuwait through multiple flights beginning on May 25, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
