, May 16 -- Ambassador and Bangladesh's Permanent Representative to the UN Nahida Sobhan has emphasised the importance of preparing the next generation of diplomats to navigate emerging technological challenges and harness technology for global good.

She visited Giga Connectivity Centre, an ITU-UNICEF collaborative initiative to connect millions of unconnected schools across the world to the internet, said the Bangladesh Mission in Geneva on Saturday.

Discussions following the visit focused on leveraging digital connectivity to expand access to education for underserved communities and help bridge the global digital divide.
