Dhaka, July 26 -- Bangladesh Bank (BB) has directed all scheduled banks to settle disciplinary cases and departmental proceedings against bank officers and employees within a maximum of two months.

The Banking Regulation and Policy Department (BRPD) of the central bank issued a circular in this regard on Sunday, instructing managing directors and chief executive officers of all scheduled banks to execute the directive immediately.

According to the central bank, the instruction was issued to align the timeframe for resolving internal disciplinary proceedings with the 'Bangladesh Labour Rules, 2015'.
