Dhaka, Oct. 15 -- Fifty members of the advance team of five contingents of Bangladesh Army left the country for Haiti today (October 15, 2026) to participate in Gang Suppression Force (GSF) authorized by the United Nations Security Council.

Before leaving for Haiti, Chief of General Staff of Bangladesh Army, Lieutenant General Md Mainur Rahman, OSP, SUP, awc, psc, met the departing army personnel at the Army Headquarters this morning. During the meeting, he provided necessary guidance on various important issues including maintaining professionalism, discipline, vigilance and security in discharging duties in the mission area.
