Dhaka, Aug. 7 -- Bangladesh and India on Thursday reaffirmed their shared commitment to advancing cooperation based on mutual interest and mutual benefit.

The two countries discussed ways to enhance energy security, promote sustainable development, and support the prosperity of the people of both countries.

The issues were discussed when Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Dinesh Trivedi paid a courtesy call on Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Iqbal Hassan Mahmood at the Secretariat.
