Dhaka, Aug. 20 -- Bangladesh and AirAsia have discussed expanding cooperation in the aviation sector, with particular emphasis on low-cost airline operations, airport management, digital services, aircraft maintenance and technology transfer.

The issues came up during a recent visit by a Bangladesh delegation, headed by State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism M. Rashiduzzaman Millat, to AirAsia Group's headquarters, RedQ, in Kuala Lumpur.

Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) Executive Chairman Chowdhury Ashik Mahmud Bin Harun and Bangladesh High Commissioner to Malaysia Manjurul Karim Khan Chowdhury were also part of the delegation.
