BAJUS hikes gold price by Tk 5,482 per bhori
, Aug. 22 -- The Bangladesh Jeweller's Association (BAJUS) has once again raised gold prices in the local market, increasing the rate of 22-carat gold to Tk 2,46,110 per bhori.
BAJUS announced the new rate in a notice on Saturday morning, effective from 10am the same day.
The trade body said the price of pure gold has increased in the local market, prompting the revision of gold prices, inclusive of VAT.
According to the new rate, 21-carat gold will now cost Tk 2,35,030 per bhori (11.664 grams), while 18-carat gold will be priced at Tk 2,01,846 per bhori. Traditional gold will cost Tk 1,64,812 per bhori.
