, July 12 -- run autorickshaw driver was killed and a mechanic was injured on Sunday after they were hit by another CNG-run auto-rickshaw on Rampura Bridge in the capital.

The deceased was identified as Yusuf Ali, 35, of Batajor village under Bokshiganj upazila of Jamalpur district.

He died around 5:00 am while undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).

According to the victim's brother, Manzurul, the accident occurred around 10:00 pm on Saturday when Yusuf's CNG-run auto-rickshaw developed a mechanical fault on Rampura Bridge.
