Narsingdi, Aug. 22 -- An autorickshaw driver was hacked to death after unidentified assailants entered his home in Monohardi upazila of Narsingdi on Saturday morning.

The deceased was identified as Akash Mia, 25, son of Aftab Uddin of Kirtibashdi village under Daulatpur Union.

Akash used to drive a battery-run autorickshaw in the area.

According to his father, Akash slept in one part of a room where cattle were also kept. Early in the morning, Aftab woke up and called Akash to help take a cow outside. After letting the cow out, Akash went back to sleep.

Aftab then took the cow to a nearby field, while Akash's mother went to her sister's house.

When they returned home around 9am, they found the door of the room open and heard groaning...
