Australia, UNICEF sign deal worth Tk 137 cr for Rohingya
, June 24 -- The Australian Government and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) on Wednesday signed an agreement worth A$16 million (around Tk 137 crore) to support humanitarian assistance for Rohingya refugees and host communities in Bangladesh.
The agreement was signed at the Secretariat in presence of Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed.
Australian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Susan Ryle and UNICEF Representative to Bangladesh Rana Flowers signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
The agreement signed aimed at improving the living standards of the Rohingya and host communities.
