Dhaka, Nov. 2 -- Prime Minister's Adviser Mahdi Amin has warned that attempts by banned political groups to create instability by exploiting labour protests will not succeed.

The Prime Minister's Office spokesperson also said those involved in violence, vandalism and sabotage would be brought to justice.

In a post on his verified Facebook page on Monday, Mahdi urged ordinary workers not to be misled by misinformation, rumours or provocations.

He said the government would always support workers in realising their legitimate and fair rights, keeping in mind the realities of the garment sector.
