Jhenaidah, Sept. 4 -- Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Md Asaduzzaman on Friday urged members of the Hindu community to remain united against any evil or destructive forces and injustice, saying the government is committed to ensuring an environment where every citizen can celebrate religious festivals freely, safely and with dignity.

He made the remarks while speaking as the chief guest at a programme, marking Janmashtami on the Ramgopal Temple premises in Shailkupa upazila headquarters.

The minister called upon the Hindu community to stand beside the government against any form of evil or destructive forces.
