Sangsad Bhaban, Sept. 3 -- The Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Textiles and Jute Ministry, headed by ruling party lawmaker Md Akhtaruzzaman Mia (Dinajpur-4), was formed on Thursday.

The committee was formed after Chief Whip Nurul Islam Moni placed a proposal in this regard.

The members of the committee are the Textiles and Jute Minister if he is an MP, BNP lawmakers Md Shariful Alam (Kishoreganj-6), SM Faisal (Habiganj-4), Md Nasir Chowdhury (Sunamganj-2), Md Abdullah (Munshiganj-1) and Rezeka Sultana (Women Seat-36), Jamaat lawmakers Md Afjal Hossain (Kushtia-4) and Hafez Muhammad Rabiul Bashar (Satkhira-3), and Bangladesh Khilafat Majlis lawmaker Mahabuba Hakim (Women Seat-48).
