Dhaka, Nov. 1 -- Production of Aman rice, onion and soybean increased in the 2025-26 fiscal year, while potato output declined, according to the latest crop statistics of the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS).

The BBS quarterly report on crop statistics and agricultural labour wages for April-June 2026 shows that Aman rice production rose to 17.36 million tonnes in FY26 from 16.51 million tonnes in FY25, an increase of around 5.1 percent.

The area under Aman cultivation also increased to 14.17 million acres from 13.87 million acres during the period.
