Akhter accuses BNP of straying from its 31-point pledge, July Charter commitment
Dhaka, July 21 -- National Citizen Party (NCP) Member Secretary and Rangpur-4 MP Akhter Hossen on Tuesday alleged that the BNP government has strayed from its 31-point electoral commitment, including promises of constitutional reforms and implementation of the July National Charter.
Speaking at a rally titled "July March to Build the Nation" at Jaldhaka Govt Pilot High School ground in Nilphamari, he claimed that the BNP had promised before the election to implement the July Charter and introduce state reforms but failed to fulfil those commitments even after five months in office.
