, Sept. 21 -- Four people were killed and three others injured Sunday when Saudi airstrikes targeted telecommunications facilities in Yemen's northern Al-Jawf province, Houthi-run media reported.

Al-Masirah TV, which is operated by the Houthis, reported that Saudi aircraft struck telecommunications towers in an area of Al-Jawf near Yemen's northern border with Saudi Arabia. Quoting a local source, the report said four workers at the telecommunications sites were killed.

Saudi Arabia did not immediately comment on the reported strikes, and the casualty figures could not be independently confirmed.

The reported attacks came as fighting between the Houthis and Saudi-backed Yemeni government forces intensified.
