Dhaka, June 1 -- Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Administrator Md Shafiqul Islam Khan on Monday said AI-generated images were circulated on social media to spread misinformation about the condition of greenery surrounding the Metro Rail area, in an attempt to discredit both the government and DNCC.

Speaking to reporters after inaugurating a tree plantation programme at Tejgaon Polytechnic playground and along adjacent road dividers, he said that greenery around the Uttara Metro Rail area which was partially damaged due to temporary cattle markets has already been restored through fresh plantation efforts.
