Dhaka, June 4 -- Police recovered the decomposed body of a 55-year-old woman from her apartment in the capital's Pallabi area early Wednesday, days after her death apparently went unnoticed.

The incident comes shortly after the widely discussed death of Nurjahan Begum, 75, whose decomposed body was recovered from a flat in the same area on May 31 after reportedly remaining there unattended for about a week.

The latest deceased was identified as Selina Afroza, daughter of Khalilur Rahman and Afia Rahman.

The body was recovered around 1:30am from the flat on Road No. 10 in Mirpur Section-6 under Pallabi Police Station.
