Dhaka, March 12 -- Acting Commissioner of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Md Sarwar has instructed police members to remain alert to ensure smooth and safe journey for people during the upcoming Eid holidays.

He said most people would leave Dhaka during Eid and urged all police personnel to stay vigilant so that crimes such as robbery, mugging and other criminal activities cannot take place during this period.

The DMP Commissioner came up with the remarks while addressing DMP members at the monthly crime review meeting for February 2026 held at the DMP headquarters conference room on Thursday.
