Abdus Salam appointed chairman of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society
Dhaka, June 21 -- The government appointed Barrister Md Abdus Salam, an advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, as Chairman of the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society for a three-year term.
At the same time, the government formed a 14-member ad hoc managing board to ensure the smooth functioning of the organisation's administrative activities.
The Private Health Management-2 Branch of the Health Services Division under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare issued two separate notifications regarding this on Saturday.
Dr Omar Farooq Mirza has been appointed Chairman of the board, while Dr Abu Md Mosharraf Hossain (Roka) has been named Vice-Chairman.
