Sylhet, May 3 -- At least eight construction workers, including two women, were killed and several others injured in a head-on collision between a truck and a pickup van in South Surma upazila of Sylhet on Sunday morning.

Four of the deceased were identified as Badrul, 30, son of Sujat Ali under Jalalabad Police Station in the city, and M Suruj Ali, 60, son of late Khoram Ali, Munni, 35, daughter of Abdul Basir, and Faridul, 35, son of late Nur Salam of Bhatipara village in Dirai upazila of Sunamganj.
