NEW YORK, July 5 -- At least eight people, including four children, were shot on Saturday night in New York's Coney Island, according to an ABC News report, citing the New York Police Department.

Those injured included two men, two women, and four children - aged 14, 12, seven and six.

However, police did not immediately provide further details about the incident.
