Cumilla, March 26 -- Five people, including a husband, wife, and their two children, were killed when a private car was hit by a bus on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway in Kalakachua, Cumilla, on Thursday. The fifth victim was the private car driver.

The collision left the private car mangled, police said. Mainamati Highway Police Station OC Abdul Momin confirmed the incident, which occurred in front of Miami Hotel in Kalakachua, Burichang upazila, in the evening.

The deceased are Abdul Momin (50) of Chatarpaiya village in Sonaimuri, Noakhali; his wife Jharna Begum (40); their children Saif (7) and Labiba (18); and the private car driver Jamal Hossain (52) of Barishal.
