482 weather incidents hit Rohingya camps, affecting 43,000 refugees
Cox's Bazar, July 12 -- related incidents were reported in Rohingya camps between July 5 and 12, 2026, affecting around 43,000 people from 9,463 households, according to the Rohingya Coordination Platform (RCP) Daily Incidents Dashboard.
The incidents included 259 wind and storm-related events, 164 landslides, 42 floods, five drowning incidents, eight fire incidents, one lightning strike and two infrastructure-related hazards.
The incidents left 15 people dead, 21 injured and forced 9,707 individuals to temporarily relocate.
Among the fatalities were two children who drowned on July 5 in Kutupalong Registered Camp (KRC) and Camp 4 Extension. Eight people were killed in landslides on July 6 in Camp 7, Camp 11 and Camp 15, including seve...
