Dhaka, March 17 -- A total of 42 students from three batches of the Law Discipline at Khulna University have qualified as lawyers after successfully passing the viva examination for enrolment with the Bangladesh Bar Council.

The results were published on March 15 on the official website of the Bar Council. This year, 8,599 candidates across the country passed the viva examination to become advocates.

The successful candidates are from the 17th, 18th and 19th batches of the university's Law Discipline.

According to the Bar Council, those who passed the viva are now eligible to register as advocates and practise law in courts, tribunals or revenue authorities under the Supreme Court of Bangladesh.
