, Sept. 10 -- Customs intelligence officials have seized 38.50 litres of foreign liquor from the baggage of seven passengers who arrived in Dhaka in an Air India flight from Mumbai.

The liquor worth an estimated Tk 7.70 lakh was recovered during a special drive at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Tuesday, said a press release.

Acting on a tip-off received on Sept 8, officials of the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate's Airport Circle, C-shift, stepped up surveillance over passengers arriving on Air India flight AI2183 from Mumbai.

Customs officials recovered 10 litres of foreign liquor from the baggage of Azmul Hoque, seven litres from Mojammel Haque Bhuiyan, six litres from Md Imran, six litres from Babul Miah...
