, July 2 -- A Mymensingh court on Thursday sentenced two people to death for killing a class X student in 2021.

Judge of Mymensingh Additional District and Sessions Judge Court-1 Md Shamsuddin handed down the judgment.

The condemned convicts are-Enamul Haque and Nazmul Haque of Sadar upazila.

Of them, Enamul was tried in absentia.

The court also fined them Tk 50,000 each.

Besides, the court also sentenced two more people-Ziaul Haque and Julhas Uddin -to seven years in jail and fined Tk 20,000, each, in default to suffer six month s more in jail.

According to the prosecution, Saikat Hasan Akash, a class X student of Antadhar High School in Sadar upazila , had developed a love affair with his classmate Jesmin Akter.
