Dhaka, Aug. 23 -- The government on Sunday allocated separate responsibilities between the two State Ministers at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs - the freshly conferred Humaiun Kobir and Shama Obaed Islam, who was sworn in on the day has served since the start of the BNP government's tenure - to assist Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman in carrying out the ministry's functions under his direction and supervision.

Humaiun Kobir, designated as State Minister for Foreign Affairs-1, will deal with bilateral and multilateral affairs, issues concerning non-resident Bangladeshis, and any other matters assigned by the foreign minister, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
