Dhaka, Sept. 21 -- Police arrested two activists of banned Bangladesh Chhatra League and Jubo League in connection with two crude bomb blasts at Kamalapur Railway Station on Saturday.

The arrestees are Mohammad Sakhawat Hossain Raihan, 32, organisational secretary of BCL's Shahjahanpur thana unit and Mohammad Sanmun, 23, a Jubo Dal activist.

Motijheel Division Deputy Commissioner of DMP Mohammad Harun-or-Rashid disclosed the information at a press briefing at the DMP Media Centre on Minto Road on Monday afternoon.

Harun said two crude bombs exploded one after another around 10:37pm on Saturday at a spot between pillars 29 and 30 on platform No. 2 of Kamalapur Railway Station.
