Sherpur, Aug. 7 -- Two children were killed and four others injured in collision between a CNG-run autorickshaw and a locally made three-wheeler (votvoti) in Sherpur's Nakla upazila on Thursday evening.

The accident occurred around 7:30 pm in the Dhanakusha area on the Nakla-Nalitabari road.

The deceased were identified as 17-month-old Mujahidul Islam and Nahid Hasan, 15.

The injured include Mujahidul's parents, Monirul Islam, 30, and Nilufa Yasmin, 25, as well as Furkan Hamid, 30, and Jahanara Begum, 55.

According to police and local sources, Monirul was returning to his home in Phulpur with his wife and son in a CNG-run autorickshaw after attending a family gathering in Nalitabari. The autorickshaw collided with an oncoming votvoti ...
