Dhaka, Nov. 8 -- Fourteen people, including four women, were arrested on Saturday over an attack and vandalism at the premises of New Guinea Properties in South Manikdi near ECB Chattar in the capital, following a dispute over a land deal.

Of the arrestees, 10 are men and four are women, said Akhtar Hossain, deputy commissioner (Media and Public Relations) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).

The incident took place at around 4:10pm on Saturday at New Guinea Properties under Cantonment Police Station.

According to police, a group of 100 to 150 people, armed with locally made weapons, entered the premises and vandalised the property, leading to a violent clash.
