Chapainawabganj, Oct. 1 -- At least twelve students of Lahalamari Government Primary School fell ill with stomach pain and vomiting after eating the meal provided under the school feeding programme in Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj district on Wednesday.

However, the local administration has formed a six-member committee to investigate the incident, said Saiful Islam, District Primary Education Officer, on Thursday.

The committee is investigating the quality of the food and the actual cause of the students falling sick, he said.

Earlier, twelve students of the school fell ill after eating the meal of school feeding food. As their condition deteriorated, teachers rescued them and took them to Shibganj Upazila Health Complex.
