India, July 14 -- Malaysia Airlines is set to further strengthen its intermodal travel offering through a new codeshare partnership with SNCF Voyageurs, France's national rail operator, enabling seamless rail and air connectivity between Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) and 28* railway destinations across France.

Seamless Air-Rail Travel - Integrates flights into Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) with onward journeys to 28 French cities via SNCF's high speed rail. - Offered under SNCF's TRAIN + AIR product, giving passengers a single booking, coordinated connections, and simplified transfers.

How It Works - Malaysia Airlines places its code on SNCF services through AccesRail's IATA code "9B." - Customers can book rail segments as part of their flight itinerary directly on Malaysia Airlines' website. - Destinations include Lyon, Strasbourg, Rennes, Lille, Marseille, among others.

Strategic Impact - Strengthens Malaysia Airlines' MHrail initiative, which already connects air rail travel at hubs like Seoul and London Heathrow. - Expands European reach beyond CDG, enhancing convenience and sustainability.

Availability - Tickets available since 10 July 2026.

This partnership is a smart move - blending aviation with rail is increasingly popular in Europe, especially for reducing short haul flights and offering smoother travel.
