India, July 9 -- Hyatt has announced plans for Grand Hyatt Victoria Falls The Kingdom, set to open in late 2027 after a major refurbishment. This will be Hyatt's second branded property in Zimbabwe, reinforcing its expansion across Africa.

Location & Heritage

- Situated in Victoria Falls, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known locally as Mosi-oa-Tunya ("The Smoke That Thunders").

- Originally built in 1966, redeveloped in 1999, and now undergoing a full transformation to align with the Grand Hyatt brand.

- Just a five-minute walk from the Victoria Falls rainforest and close to safari circuits, cultural experiences, and restaurants.

Planned Features

- 245 guestrooms with elevated design.

- 1,800 sqm (19,375 sq ft) of meeting and event space.

- Three dining venues, spa, fitness center, and a grand lobby lounge.

- Positioned as the closest hotel to the entrance of Victoria Falls National Park on the Zimbabwean side.

- Only a 20-minute drive from Victoria Falls International Airport.
