India, March 11 -- Sunshine often plays a major role in choosing a destination, and a new analysis shows the city of Los Angeles is among the sunniest cities in the world.

The City of Angels boasts a total of 3,257 hours of sunshine per year, making it the sunniest city in the United States and the fourth sunniest city in the world, according to a new study from travel platform Book Retreats.
