T1 To T3 In 13 Minutes: Delhi Airport Plans Driverless Air Train By 2030
India, Oct. 7 -- Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport is planning an inter-terminal driverless train to connect its terminals, with the Automated People Mover expected to be ready by 2030. The project is estimated to cost around INR 3,500 crore. Once operational, the train is expected to decrease travel time between T1 and T3 to approximately 13 minutes. The design and other project elements are still being finalised, and the construction start date has not been set. Once work begins, construction is expected to take about 30 months.
