India, Oct. 17 -- The Shanghai Grand Opera House, the iconic fan-shaped landmark on the Huangpu River, opens on October 17, 2026, after six years of construction. The marvel has been designed by Snohetta in collaboration with the East China Architectural Design & Research Institute (ECADI). Its curved white exterior is inspired by a traditional folding fan, earning it the nickname Chinese Fan.
