India, Aug. 20 -- The Ladakh Marathon is the world's highest event of its kind, certified by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS). It is held annually in Leh, India, at altitudes ranging from 11,500 to a staggering 17,618 feet. First held in 2012, the 13th edition of the marathon will run from September 10 to September 13, 2026, featuring a record INR 1 crore prize pool.
