Why Tata Power Chose Odisha Over Andhra Pradesh for Its Rs6,675 Crore 10 GW Solar Mega Project
India, July 29 -- India's shift towards an indigenization of clean energy manufacturing has been given a major push by Tata Power which has announced an investment of Rs6,600 crore to establish a solar wafer and ingot manufacturing plant in the state of Odisha. The project also represents Tata Power's move into the upstream solar manufacturing segment, which will help to lower dependence on imports and boost the solar supply chain in India.
