A company best known for household basics like stabilizers, wires and fans put out numbers well ahead of what the street was expecting. Margins held steady too, even with raw material costs going up through the quarter. Market noticed almost right away.

Shares of V-Guard Industries Limited, with a market capitalization of around Rs.13,971 crore, are currently trading at Rs.319.75, up nearly 5.9% from the previous close of Rs.301.95. During Thursday's trading session, the stock surged to Rs.338.80 which is about 12% above its previous closing price, marking a sharp move, while it currently trades at a P/E ratio of 36.17.
